Try otherwise MultiMenu.
This has also possiblities for dropdown menu's etc.
There are 2 version of MultiMenu: 1 for 8 menu's and 1 for 16 menu's.

Thanks :) In the end I installed it and it is wonderful! Also working very good.

MyMenu 1.4 not working with Xoops 2.0.15?

I installed MyMenu 1.4, the installation complete successfully but then once you go to add a link then nothing happens, no error but no link.

I checked all the permission and settings and all is fine, so the latest XOOPS is not compatible with MyMenu?

What other module I can use instead of MyMeny? It's a crucial module on the site I'm building.

UPDATE: I thought it could be a server problem, so I installed XOOPS 2.0.15 with MyMenu 1.4 on another server that I use for testing, and where usually everything works fine, and it's still not working here too :(

UPDATE2: I think that the new XOOPS has problems with some modules, I tried MyMenu and is not working in two different servers. Then I tried IMenu and works on one server but not in the other. In the end I used MultiMenu and it works very good now on both servers.

EDIT: I solved the problem, the admin of the hosting kindly made the right temporary changes on the apache settings, even if as a first answer I got a "NO".

Hi all, I'm facing a little strange problem...

I need to make a site for a non-profit organization, it will be with XOOPS and some standard modules, plus others like Edito, C-Jay content, etc.

In this site there is actually another web site (html + flash + various downloads), that will be the erased.

The actual site needs to be on line and working until the very last moment, but at the same time I have to install and setup XOOPS and work togheter with people of this organization to fill it with a lot of contents.

I can't work locally because the various people are in different places, so it has to be on line.

I can't make a subdirectory for XOOPS because they don't want the site to be in a subfolder.

The only thing left to me is to put XOOPS in a subfolder to work on it and then do a migration, but I don't like that solution because every time I had to do it I experienced a lot of problems.

I noticed that the index.php of this site it's just a redirect to the real home page that is home.html, so I thought that maybe I could mix XOOPS and the actual site, and find a way to send the people do the actual site and at same time working for real on the main folder to build the site, then when XOOPS is ready just shift the redirect to the new site. But XOOPS itself has index.php as home page...

Is there a way to do that or I just give up since now and work in a subdir and then migrate?

I wish I could change the default index file of the server but it's not permitted

Edito - problem with wrong image paths

Hello all, I was searching if the problem was already discussed but I didn't find anything...

The problem that I have with Edito is that when I upload an image (stored in /modules/edito/images/uploads/ as shown in the settings), then i drag and drop it to the wysiwyg editor, the image displais correctly, but if I give OK and save the page, and I see it in XOOPS (as a user would see it) the image is missing.

I saw that when you drag and drop the image in the article, it gets automatically the path "../images/uploads/filename.jpg", which is correct because now we are in a subfolder, but it is not updated when you save the page in the editor, it remains the same path "../images/uploads/filename.jpg" even when you are outsite the subfolder, and of course the browser will not find it, because now the path should be: "images/uploads/filename.jpg".

I was trying to make it work but I'm getting crazy after it, it is a known bug or there is a way to make it work?

You can use Article module.

Thanks, I would like to try it only if I could be able to download it. I'm trying since hours to download but the site reset the connection each time I try and I can hardly get half of the zip file.

Btw, is it a tested module or beta? It works fine?

UPDATE: I was able to download it after like 25 tries with an "resume" function on the download. I copied it in the modules dir and sadly I saw that it causes a "Fatal Error" in modules/article/include/vars.php , I can't even install it. But being a RC I'm not going to use it, I need something stable... Any other suggestion will be most welcomed, thanks.

Hello all, I'm trying to do a site that has this structure:

Home page

Courses

Course1

Course2

Course3

- ...
    -
Courses for foreigners

Course1

Course2

Course3

- ...
    -
Accomodations

Accomodation1

Accomodation2

Accomodation3

- ...
    -
Services

Service1

Service2

Service3

- ...
    -
News

Forum

etc...

I tried to use WF-Channel but is not possible to make this structure, actually I didn't find any other module that can fit that need. Any suggestion?

I know that I can use cj-content and mymenu, but I only have to do a setup of it then other people will manage the contents (teachers) since they need to be changed often, and I would like to use something that is really simple, because they have no knowledge for something complicated.

Thanks in advance

The premise is so simple. Just cache the output of the entire page, and then do a search and replace on all the langauge tagged text prior to sending it to the browser. So all your modules and everything works perfectly out of the box, no modifications required, and just a minor, minor edit to the core required to hook in the page caching and search and replace functionality.

Thanks for your answer. Can you please explain how to do this? I do not understand clearly what needs to be done. If you can write more details on it I would appreciate very much, also will be very helpful to others that has the same problem.
Thanks again.

Hmm... seems that there is a big problem with xLanguage, even the installation and setup was simple and perfect and all is working very good, when you enter a news or a page in wfchannel, if the text is longer than a few rows, it causes a XOOPS internal error (or something like that) and the browser say "cannot find the page", if you make the text shorter the page loads fine. Very weird...

EDIT: OK I found the problem, is a known bug... sad that a so good module has to suffer from a bad php function and unclosed tags that return 500 error :(

EDIT2: I read that it is a sort of bug in the php engine that calls a perl function, now I'm not a faboulous programmer but i could try a workaround for it, but I actually don't know exactly what this function do and when/where is called. Anyone knows more details?

I just tried xLanguage on a fresh installation of XOOPS 2.0.13.2, it's just great! I'm very happy with it!

Yes, only if I could, I know already how to do it with Apache settings, but the owner of the site bought a shared hosting solution and seems that you can only put html pages and contents, while you can't change any server settings or .htaccess file. Also the server is IIS (not my choise of course, I always get Linux hostings).

Thanks anyway for your reply.
