Thanks for the suggestion, but it would be too complex for that purpose.

I just need a simple textfield (for the image URL) and a button that by clicking it you can choose an image from the img manager.

I think, in the end, I'll write something myself, like a drop down list with all the images inside, or so.

Hi all, I am developing a small module (just insert and show few data from a MySQL db), each record must have a picture in it, so what I would like to do is:

- go into image manager and normally load pictures.

- go into a form (that i created) to fill all the data, and select a picture from the image manager, as you would do normally for example when you insert a picture in a block. But without the "[img..." code or alignment, just select the image, push a button, and the clean url of the selected img goes in the "image" field.

Is that possible?

Thanks for any suggestion.

Hi all, I was searching for this in the forum without success, so I'm asking here.

Ritchie and alittlemisfi, was you able to find a solution for the problem? I couldn't yet. Actually I'm giving up since I can't find any support and CBB is also problematic like Kamax says. I think I'm going to install an external forum like phpbb in anoter directory, for the users, make the web site as good old static html pages and maybe some of my code for the news, that will make the job. Too bad I lost days after that.

I updated XOOPS to the very latest version, 2.0.17.1, I checked everything possible to check, permissions of XOOPS and the forum, versions, everything, but I could not solve the problem. So what to do now?
I don't know what to do about that problem.
I lost a valuable amount of time trying to fix something that I have no idea what can be.
Do you suggest me to install a different forum?
Which one you can succest me? CBB?

By the way, lately I see that XOOPS is going down and down, incompatibilities and bugs are found daily while you install and make it work, modules are abandoned, translations made at half way, it is not possible to keep up 6-7 basic modules but that work fine with each other?

I'm thinking seriously to shift to some other CMS after I installed around 15 XOOPS sites in some years

Hi all, when I create a forum category, then create forums inside the category, I can't modify them anymore. I go as admin in the "forum" tab, clic the pencil to edit one of the forum, and I get a page with the admin menu on the left, the forum tabs on the top (index, categories, forum, etc), and under it a frame with the label "Editing Forum:", but that's all, there is nothing inside to change.
I use XOOPS 2.0.17 and NewBB 2.02, and I did all the installations as follows.
I don't know what can be the problem...
Thanks so much in advance for any suggestion.

Ok, I found out myself how to change that, even if I don't like much to go editing the files on the server (if there is an upgrade someday, you can loose all the changes).

I did that editing this file:
/modules/newbb/include/forumform.inc.php

and changing this line (n.149):
$cols = 60;

Changing that value to 45 did the job.
