I upgraded my Xoops install to 2.5.6
I noticed in the upgrade instruction that I should be sure to update:
- Protector
- PM
- Profile

I have Protector 3.4, but is that the newest version.

I was not able to find the PM or the Profile module. Where can I find these modules or have they been built into Xoops 2.5.6 ?

I'm also have a problem with Registration spam. I'm getting dozens of fake account registrations daily.
What can I do about this?

I'm not looking for an RSS reader, but rather to publish RSS feeds of Forum Topics.

How are RSS feeds published via Xoops?

I get the error I posted above when I try to view the RSS feeds from my Xoops site.

I'm going to attempt to use the Global RSS hack I posted the link to above.

Is RSS supported by a module or is it built into the Xoops system?

I've been using Xoops for a while, but when I tried to use the RSS link:

XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location:http://www.site.org/modules/rss/rss.php
Line Number 9, Column 24: <copyright>Copyright ￿ 2001-2004</copyright>

So, it seems that the RSS services are provided by the RSS module.

Is this Xoops Globall RSS hack the solution?

I've got a User that is creating a lot of problems on my Xoops 2.5.2 forum.

How can I block this user?
If I delete his account, he will just re-register with another name.

thanks,
B

Thanks guys,
I misunderstood what the Visible types dropdown meant.
Switching that to All revealed the blocks I needed.

I am using Xoops 2.5.1
I can't seem to figure out how to add CBB specific blocks.

Using the drop down menu you referred to in Block Administration.

Selecting:
Forum
Top Page
All Types
Visable Yes

and then Clicking AddBlock

Does not reveal any options for:
Recent Comments
Top Topics
Or any blocks related to the CBB forum.

I'm presented with a blank form that I could put Custom HTML or text in.

How to I get access to the Forum specific blocks?

I installed CBB 3.0.8 and then 4.05 beta
I installed the module and it seems to work.
However, I can't seem to find the CBB blocks.

SystemOptions > Blocks Administration > AddBlock
I am making sure the Modules selector is set to Forum.

Module > Forum > Blocks
This doesn't seem to offer the module blocks either.

Thanks for the help.
I decided to go with CBB 3.0.8
I installed the module and it seems to work.
However, I can't seem to find the CBB blocks.

SystemOptions > Blocks Administration > AddBlock

The only option I'm given is Custom HTML block.

It seems many of these have stalled development.

X-forum seems the newest:
https://xoops.org/modules/repository/singlefile.php?cid=20&lid=1795

But it says it's only compatible with Xoops 2.3.

I also looked at CBB 3.0.8, the same forum used on this site.

Howerver I can't find the required packages:
Frameworks 1.60 was found
XoopsEditor was not.

I searched the Modules directory and:

orhttp://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/showfiles.php?group_id=1155
