wow, does anyone else have administrative access to your domain? If so perhaps they edited your group rights???? other theen that, this is obviously a huge disapointing thing to suggest; but back up your tables and reinstall. On second thought if you cannot resolve the issue you should wait for the update and see if it fixes the problem automatically. not very much help I know, but atleast you know we are reding your post :(

Ultimate Source Gaming

We offer free clan sites. Ihave been getting into theming alot lately and i would love to set up a share program. There really are not many of us gaming site admins out there. Especially ones willing to help out other admins. Currently as part of our clan sponsorship we only offer free clan sites. Some of you have other features. I am smelling a big link swap party!

ya its a pretty nice mod on your clan-dark.

I think that your sticker price is directly going to affect overall interest in the theme. Perhaps what would drive more people to purchase the HL2 theme, and any other mods you decide to do, is including things that they cannot simply manipulate from your free clan-dark.

I do like that you included the right block table in the HL2 version. But again, it seems that when it comes down to it your overall theme has not changed. just some colors and pictures.

Im not trying to offend you in any way. I love that you put up your clan dark for free to encourage users to get comfortable with your theme style. Its just that if you plan on pushing that into high sales traffic, you will need to offer something more extravagant in the themes that you are peddling.

Again I feel its a nice theme, However I could duplicate it easily from your free version. Not that I would do that, I just figured you would appreciatte a heads up.

***Oh and since this topic is alive again. I have enemy territory and World of Warcraft themes you can get from HERE They are in the downloads section under XOOPS themes. Feel free to comment on em if ya like. I should also point out that they are Montis Arts Themes modded for those particular games.

Hey Biteronboard, I've checked out that site and he definately does have some nice themes, unfortunately most of the gaming themes are game specific. I will definately see if he would make me a custom theme. Thanks for the link!

Thats true the games are game specific at first, hoever its cake to change em over. For example i turned the fable theme into a WoW theme by including a sweet header and a custom icon pack. The Halo theme i turned into my example of hosted game types. the themes are so nice because they flow so well no matter which direction you choose to go with them.

Here is what i am doing for my cs theme. I am sure that you have steam installed. you can navigate to your steamapps folder and then into your profile and get tons of media for the games (i.e. cs) also Jmorris has a css theme that looks nice it just demands that you change your 3 column format to a 2 column. That does not work for me. Now he does have a nice little bit of content in there. So i am taking all this content and porting over to the halo 2 theme. Conveniently enough the halo2 theme is cs blue so it is looking very nice atm. you can see the halo2 theme in avtion along with some others here

JMorris, I have always liked your work. Just never really fitted what i was doing. any new theme projects on the burner?

This is often a heated topic. I personally would love to see a plethora of gaming themes come out for free. However its just not likely. I will soon be purchasing a set from this guy. He does good prefabs and he is open to do custom jobs. Other than that i reccomend the ps2, xbox, and gamecube themes. you can see em at work here

I would love to also put together my own theme although the tuts that are available are not exactly what i was hoping for (beggars cant be choosers)

I am setting up a subdomain with a full install of 2.0.13.

Operating system Linux
Apache version 1.3.33 (Unix)
PERL version 5.8.7
PHP version 4.3.11
MySQL version 4.0.25-standard

My problem is that when i try to export the user table from one domain i cannot get it to import to the new domain without erroring out. What is the best way to transfer user data? is their specific export rules? or is there a secret to the import. Thanks guys.

*** note i have been all over mysql.com and cant find this, so if you know of a linky ***

Well this sounds like somewhat of an easy idea guys. the process may not be simple but the idea is.

The groups system is almost adequate at this stage. you can place user in specific groups and members of that group can only see what they are intended to see. The flaw in the system is that if you set up someone as a group moderator and give them administrative access to the groups function they have admin over not only what their group sees, but what all the other groups see. Not to mention the ability to change the areas of the site that they are intended to see.

Solution: Hack the group feature so that the admin sets up a group and a moderator for that group. Then the admin must approve all of the area that that particualar group is able to see. Now when the moderatator logs in he can only see what he is intended to see. The concept of being able to divvy up administrative responsibility is brilliant. However being able to partition that responsibility as needed would be ideal.

Stage 2 of this would be that application to a specific group. xroster has a very nice application that could be modded out to work in this case. Not that it ever really worked, but nows as good a time as any. When a user registers for your domain they are immediattely redirected to the application. at this point they can either apply to a group or they can remain as just a registered user. If they do apply to a group then the application goes to the moderator of that group and awaits approval. Once approved the moderator can pull that member out of the registered users group and place them in their own.

Something that may cause trouble. Moderators of certain groups can only see members in their group as well as registered users. This way noone can be pulled out of a group on accident or out of spite for that matter.

Once a member has been grouped the new member list page would display them in the appropriatte group.

This doesnt seem too bizaar and i feel that it isnt very unreasonable and in my opinion it sounds like an adequate solution to the question.
