another way to do it is to delete all the cached files in the templates_c folder.

When you guys say these hosting companies 'have' XOOPS or 'offer' xoops, does that just mean they support it? or does it mean that they already have it installed on each account? <-- i was just curious about that.

For hosting, i use www.hostultra.com . they have a plan that has 200mb web space and 7gig bandwidth/month for $20 per year. My 2400 member XOOPS site has never had any problems on it and i've never once noticed any downtime. Tech support actually answers your questions too As far as i can tell, it's a great deal with great service.

it's good to hear that other people would like this addition also. You guys should stop by the wf-projects forum and let them know your thoughts. I already started a thread about it here...http://www.wf-projects.com/modules/ipboard/index.php?showtopic=725 I imagine if a lot of people request this feature, they might put it in their next release.

I also have one more easy question. How do I apply the newbb2 patch? Do i just overwrite the files in my folder with the files in the patch? I could not find any instructions whatsoever.

can somebody please answer??

i want to display the 'recent topics' and 'most active topic' blocks at the bottom of the page below my forums but they appear at the top of the page. Does anybody know how to do this because i can't seem to figure it out.

Also, what is the HP, MP, and EXP points used for? Do i need to install some sort of RPG hack before they have any purpose?

Thanks,
Ryan

this probably isn't the answer you're looking for, but i think the red x means that the url to the flash file is wrong.

I think a module for that is a great idea. ever since i went to that site www.redvsblue.com , i've wanted a similar point system on my own site

Yikes! I wish i'd seen that thread before. i used the search on this site and typed in "i-stats" and also tried "istats" but that thread did not come up in the results. After your reply, I tried again and noticed the "show all results" link underneath. I was wondering why i haven't gotten a reply to any of my previous questions and now I realized there was probably a thread already.

I humbly apoligize for this terrible display of newbishness. And thanks for helping me out anyways

I was having the same problem because the installation text confused me a little bit.

Quote:
Included into this text (point number 3), modification to prevent admin to be counted by the module (Lucastds).

I did not care if admins were counted by the module so I skipped step 3. But then I found this thread and realized my mistake.

I have a question though. I hope it hasn't been answered already but i searched the forum and did not find a solution. Is it possible for me to set the hit counter at a certain number? I was using a different counter before and do not want to start at "0" again.

thanks for the great module and i hope to hear from you
