Some nice features:

-A chat block would definitely be nice so you could put it at the bottom of your forums, for example.

-ability to use emoticons and text formatting like colors/bold/etc.


Also, I've used ajax chat scripts before that eat up the servers cpu when more then 10 people would get on. I'm not sure how to avoid this, but perhaps using some sort of cache would help.



If you're going to track using an image, a 1pixel image would probably be the best idea in case thousands of xoopers start using the module on their sites.

i modified the colors and a few other things on a montisarts theme for my own site. and decided to release it here in case anyone liked it.

i had completely forgotten that i'd taken the banner tags out which a lot of people use. but yeah, like kurak_bu said, you can open theme.html in your favorite editor and add the tag back in there wherever you want.

I think you can do that with an .htaccess file

you'll have to block the I.P. address range for your whole country but exclude yours from the file. Since your I.P. address changes, you'd have to update the .htaccess file every time, i think.

an easy way to check is to make a info.php file


just open notepad or a text editor and make a new file called info.php

paste this into the file...
(); ?>



Then upload the file to your server and load the page in your browser. a page will come up showing your php configuration and if any functions are disabled and all that.

ask your host if they have fsockopen disabled. That's what caused me to have the same problems you're having.

the old mylinks module was causing this to happen on my site. i was using XOOPS 2.2.5 and cbb 3.05.

every time someone would add or delete a link, all the user's post counts would go down to zero.
