"Users" browse sites and "Webmasters" build the sites.

XOOPS is a site building tool, not a browsing tool.

Well you should read the new article in news and get the svn version to test.

The alpha1 had some new required folders XOOPS and XOOPS-data that need to be outside the public_html folder. These seem to de deprecated in the newer versions so stay away from alpha1.

Cheers.

If you do have content in there.

Save it in a notepad file and then repost it after the uninstall, reinstall procedure.

1. means Release Candidate 1. Software is oftened release under the versioning structure: ALpha, Beta, RC, Full Release.

An RC version is more mature than Beta but can still have some untested areas, and is the last few releases before the software is considered fully Stable.

2. Generally, no problems.

It would be better to install 2.0.14 and upload and install the modules in teh 2.0.13 package.

One note though, I do not use any of the modules provided with 2.0.13.2, better modules are available.

Cheers.

I'd love to get a couple of packs done, setup and manage demo sites with the packages.

Would you like to manage the demo links(at least of the main feautured modules)?

Does anyone have a suggestion or would like to complement more information to this document?

I just noticed this making an unrelated search. LOL

Please PM me any needs that requires to be filled.

//EDIT////////////////////
Tried this didn't work,
Must be on some kind of track though.
////////////////////////////

Quote:

In file /include/notifications_constants.php

change

define('XOOPS_NOTIFICATION_METHOD_PM', 1);
define('XOOPS_NOTIFICATION_METHOD_EMAIL', 2);

to

define('XOOPS_NOTIFICATION_METHOD_PM', 2);
define('XOOPS_NOTIFICATION_METHOD_EMAIL', 1);

Cheers.

//EDIT 2 /////////////////////////////////
I have it set e-mail now in user profile, it has not been tested as to working. Hope nothing else was broken.

The correct way of doing it would be to find where in the creation sequence the 1 for PM gets attributed and change it to 2 for email.

I just couldn't right now.

This happened on my site. Was just fooling around with other modules and all of asudden, the info in some of the multiMenu blocks disappeared.

I updated the module and everything came back. (I'm on 2.2.4 thought)

YOu have to be careful about which menu option is chosen in theh block. I,ve found that most don't show anything for me, I use "switch vertical" option the most.

Cheers

All is good now. Temasweb provided ISO format files.

I was quite perplexed, since one page in TinyD would have problems and the next one didn't. Then other modules also showed messed characters.

The changes in the theme itself were fine though.

Cheers.
