I am currently trying to install 2.3.0-a1 on a local computer (using wamp) to see what it has to offer over the 2.0.14 version I am running.

I cannot get past the install screen showing:

Warning: require_once(/Boot/xoops2.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\wamp\www\htdocs\mainfile.php on line 77

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/Boot/xoops2.php' (include_path='.;C:\php5\pear') in C:\wamp\www\htdocs\mainfile.php on line 77

I have deleted the db and installed new ones, I have changed everything I can think of but no install. I have used these same db's with versions 2.0.14, 2.0.13a, 2.2.4 and the install works great. I simply cannot get past the above two errors for 2.3.0-a1

I have read the install instructions and cannot find anything extra to do... what next?

Well you should read the new article in news and get the svn version to test.

The alpha1 had some new required folders XOOPS and XOOPS-data that need to be outside the public_html folder. These seem to de deprecated in the newer versions so stay away from alpha1.
