In other words, try this.

<SCRIPT Language= "javascript" src="http://www.clanbase.com/cbrank.php?cid=cid&lid=lid&type=js"></script>

You had open tags in your code. Improper tags will almost always produce a blank page. A good sign when you are adding nw blocks in html format. You just needed to double check the syntax.

I still need to learn how to do proper includes without a content module. I'm a dolt when it comes to php, actually, I'm a dolt when it comes to just about anything at all :-p

I wasn't able to get it working for me CBlue, but I think it's just a matter of creating a separate .php file and using includes. Before that, I would think that you wuld have to edit the output a bit so that it displaying on the page, just like any other flash element using <embed> or what have you.

*edit*
Nevermind, next time I should read the entire post before spewing hot air :p

Silly question, but what version of XOOPS are you using? This may not work in 2.x if it was originaly made for 1.x, unless it has been updated.

Assuming that you have all your versions in order I've also noticed that if a template file has the wrong syntax it will produce a blank page. It might help if you re-upload your files, or just the template files to be sure. If not, I'm not sure on how else to fix this for you. More information as you progress would be an asset

*edit*

I just noticed you 'are' running on 1.x, (I think) so I don't know how I can assist. Sorry for the misleading post.

You could also use Freecontent or C-Jay content modules that can be found the 2.0 Module areas of the download pages.

Happy Xoopzing!

If your using Cpanel on your server and used Fantastico to create your XOOPS installation, I have found that you may need to attempt to login twice for some reason. If your installation doesn't fit into what I describe above, then disregard this message. If it does, then try installing it manualy without Cpanel or Fantastico. This fixed it for me.

Only other thing I can think of is to clear your internet cache from your browser. Also, if your using Internet Explorer, holding down 'Shift' while clicking refresh will force the browser to reload all the information from the site bypassing your local copies of the files including .css and images previously viewed.

Although this has already been mentioned, I'm of no use to you!

Good luck.

Another tip to share with you when selecting and modifing themes, is to add a theme block that only you can see when logged on. This makes switching easy for you while you make changes and keeps your site clean for your users. When you are all done, just go to admin>>preferences>>General Settings[edit] and set your newly modified theme as the default.

This way users don't see changes as you make them until you want them to be seen and you are happy with your edits.

Cheers
