Sounds very promising, though it is still very hard to test the module as it does not seem to show up... ;)

..ah.. It was a stupid thing of me to say. Actually, disappointed romanticism lights that fire, but it doesn't sound as good..

The irony is, rajaito, that the links you were looking for, at least I think these were the links, are available from this page.

Where sarcasm smokes - irony lights the fire.. ;)

Hi,

Downloaded mymedia from wolf factory, as it seems like a very good media management and presentation module.

However, uploading mymedia to the modules folder, caused:

a) the admin modules page to hide (?) some of the unused modules.

b) mymedia module is not seen either.

To check the admin page recognise the module, I removed the xoops_version file from mymedia. That caused:

a) previously "hidden" unused modules suddenly reappeared.
b) a message on the page saying mymedia module has a missing file...

All of which means something is wrong in the module I have downloaded...
Any ideas what?
How can this be fixed?
Is there another place to download a proper version of the module..?

Thanks!

oh... no little rectangle on the left with "system admin" to click on..?

Hummm... Sounds like you might want to put it to installation troubleshooting..?

Hummm... Are you talking about the menu line "Administration menu"? The one under the user options etc..?
If this is the case - just click on the line "Administration menu" and you'll get the admin panel..

Best!

Hi,

I try to test mymedia but, strangely, the module does not show up.. (On the module installation page..)

Downloaded the module from wolf factory. It it called beta 1, but when I opened the readme file - refrences were made to "myMedia 2.3"..

Maybe I downloaded the file from the wrong place..?

Any ideas..?

Thanks!

It meant as "disrespectful" for the effort at large..

I understand your position as a developer facing a client, and respect that as a choice on how you'd like to do business. Personally, I am not a software developer and live in a slightly different market streams, hence the possibilities of what can be done with clients are slightly different.

It might, however, be interesting to open up and map the revenue models within XOOPS community of developers to learn about attitudes and gauge possible implications on the project as a whole - if any..
