I'm trying, but finding it difficult, to find sample sites (other than screenshots) built with Xoops.

Can somebody tell me where I can review sample XOOPS sites?

I need a CMS that allows me to have a menu like what you see on the left column onhttp://www.ida.ca/whatsnew_en.asp . Like that menu, I need a main menu on the left column and I need sub-menus to appear on mouse-over.

Can I do this with Xoops? If so, which modules should I install and where do I find these modules?

Thanks for your help!

I got my hoster to manually go into Windows, right-click on mainfile.php, click on Properties and set to read-only, but I still get the same error. I tried what Quest suggested, but it doesn't work.

Does anybody have any suggestions how to get by this error?

elRufo,

I'm getting almost the exact problem as you. Did you ever find the solution?

I get this error (like yours):
-------------------------------
Physical path is correct.
Physical path must be a directory.
Virtual path is a valid URL.

The server path to your XOOPS root directory: C:/webppliance/conf/domains/ezid/Inetpub/wwwroot
-------------------------------

If I enter C:\webppliance\conf\domains\ezid\Inetpub\wwwroot instead of C:/webppliance/conf/domains/ezid/Inetpub/wwwroot , I get this error:
-------------------------------
There is a conflict between the detected physical path (C:/webppliance/conf/domains/ezid/Inetpub/wwwroot) and the one you input.
Physical path must be a directory.
Virtual path is a valid URL.

The server path to your XOOPS root directory: C:\webppliance\conf\domains\ezid\Inetpub\wwwroot
-------------------------------

Does anybody have a solution for this?

I'm using:
IIS
PHP 4.3.1
MySQL 4.0.12

Thanks! That worked.

Shouldn't there be a message on Image Manager telling the user that he needs to create a Category instead of showing empty drop-down list and empty submit button?

There are existing ASP.NET files that I would like to interface to. I would like to have the search criteria on my XOOPS site and enable the user to invoke these ASP.NET programs to do a search on a database and show the results on the XOOPS site. Can anybody provide guidance or instructions on how to interface to ASP.NET files?

I just installed XOOPS and I haven't installed any modules. I'm trying to upload an image to a block using Image Manager. However, the Image Manager has an empty drop-down list and an empty submit button. Does anybody know what the problem is?

OS: Linux
webserver: Apache

I'm having the exact same problem. I deleted that line of code from system_block_login.html and I updated the System module a couple of times and the "register" link still appears.

Any suggestions?
