I don't know why I didn't clone as you say. "Common sense .. escaped me"

I do have 31 fields under users and none of the other tables you described so I hope I still have a valid 2.0.13.2 database.

Where do I go from here.

I managed to mangle my previous 2.0.13.2 installation when attempting to upgrade it to 2.2.3. I had completed a complete site backup and restore did not work. Basically, the site is history although my database appears to be intact.

Is there any way to install 2.0.13.2 anew and reconnect it to my old database?? I am trying to keep my users, groups, permissions as well as news, calendar, and picture galleries.

Please give me some direction here.

I have a functioning site running 2.0.13 and I have created a new directory on the same server to play with a 2.2.3 installation. Is it possible (without killing myself) to import the data in my old (functioning) database to the new database I created when installing the 2.2.3 version?

I really only have users and some news articles that would concern me.

Thanks,

That is correct. The settings are correct and I am using release of 2.2 and I cannot get into admin.

I think the folder settings were 755 when I did the install. That being the case, should I reinstall? The mod settings for after install are currently correct and have been since I completed the install.

I just did a fresh full install of the latest software and when attempting to go to my site these are the messages I get. I have tried to go directly to the admin.php but get redirected to this same screen with the same info. Any ideas?

Warning [Xoops]: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "/navigation/theme_usernav.html" in file class/smarty/Smarty.class.php line 1084
Warning [Xoops]: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "/blocks/theme_blockleft.html" in file class/smarty/Smarty.class.php line 1084
Warning [Xoops]: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "/blocks/theme_blockleft.html" in file class/smarty/Smarty.class.php line 1084

Thanks

Monty .. I have the same need .. to import my phpBB2 database into the IPB XOOPS module. Can you please send me the converter you mentioned? I assume that an easier process has been developed since you last posted this information.

Thanks a bunch!

I did, disable it that is. And it works fine now. I guess that means the issue is with the module. Should I report that somewhere else?

And again, thanks for your help.

Here is the error code:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_IS_EQUAL, expecting ')' in /home/fsuadmin/public_html/xoops/modules/eguide/include/search.inc.php on line 3

And wow, thanks for the quick response! Looks like an issue with the eguide module? I suppose I should try removing the module and see if it heals.
