How can I import all my categories, forums, messages, etc from a phpbb forum to x-ipb module ?

it can be done, but it's a long process

i have a phpbb2 to ipb 1.3.1 convertor..

so essentially you would need to install the original ipb 1.3.1 forum onto a server, then convert your phpbb forum to that..

after completion you can then use the ipb original to x-ipb 1.4 convertor available on bbpixel.com

if you want a copy of ipb orignal 1.3.1 then let me know and i'll send u a copy..

Monty .. I have the same need .. to import my phpBB2 database into the IPB XOOPS module. Can you please send me the converter you mentioned? I assume that an easier process has been developed since you last posted this information.

not that i know of.. and i don't have the convertor to hand anymore.. besides the converter wasn't for XOOPS anyway.. it was made to convert phpbb original standalone to invision standalone.. so you could probably find it on invision website somewhere or on google which is where i had to search for it.

you would then need to install invision 1.3.1 on your server and convert to that, then convert from invision original to x-ipb and that converter is available on bbpixel.com

there maybe an easier way, cbb has a phpbb2 to newbb converter, so maybe you can do it that way and convert phpbb to newbb and then newbb2 to x-ipb.. newbb2 to x-ipb convertor is also on bbpixel.
