Hi,

Has anyone got a block to work that shows multiple scrolling images. The default scrolling block that comes with xcGal only shows one picture at a time, I'd like three images showing up at once.

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers,

Tracy

Cheers,

Hi,

I've just installed CBB 3.08 (newBB) into XOOPS 2.17. Everything is working fine except when I try to add a topic/post/poll, etc.

I get the following error:

Fatal error: Class 'XoopsFormSelectEditor' not found in /home/smallwoo/public_html/school/modules/newbb/include/forumform.inc.php on line 119

Having looked at various posts on this on the Net, I still can't fix it. I've got Xoopseditor installed, and the latest Frameworks 1.20.

All permissions are set correctly so that I should be able to add topics, etc.

Could anyone please help.

Have a meeting tomorrow afternoon with client, and want to be able to demonstrate the forum!

Thanks,

Tracy

System Module: Blocks not updating, no css, image manager not working

Hi,

I've installed XOOPS 2.0.17 along with Protector and XOOPS Info. Everything was going fine but then I installed the xcgallery, did a couple of other things and now when I try to save in the blocks admin section I just get sent to the main index page of the system module, and the change to the block has not been made, ie made visible or not, changed weight, etc.

However, changes are saved if I click on the edit link for a particular block, make the change there and then save.

So not sure what's going on there, any help much appreciated.

At the same time it also seems that the CSS formatting has disappeared from the system error pages or 'changes made to database' pages ie, when I go to a module that doesn't have content yet I get a white page with:

"Sorry, there is no article to display.
Sorry, there is no article to display.
If the page does not automatically reload, please click here
All errors (0) queries (12) blocks (0) extra (0) timers (3)
Errors"

on it in black text. No standard XOOPS system module formatting.

I did try to make a second scrolling block for xcgallery which had links to the javascript for the standard xcgallery scrolling block. However, I deleted this as it didn't work... obviously, now that I think about it!! I've got a nasty feeling this is the culprit but don't know what it has done.

I've updated the system module several times to no effect. And no info is coming up on XOOPS Info.

Also, couldn't upload my backup (made by the Backup module) as it kept coming up with an error on the MySQL xoops_avatar table. Any ideas on that is would also be appreciated.

Another problems seems to be that I'm not full html in the XOOPS default block editor - when I try to insert an image from the image gallery, by clicking on the 'image' icon, nothing happens, but when I click the icons for left, right or justify the code goes in, not as html but rather Resized Image, which doesn't work when the block is live. Any ideas?

Can I reinstall XOOPS core and still safe all the modules, and set up? And would this solve the problem...?

Cheers,

Tracy

Any ideas?

Hi

You just need to put <tags>TESTTAG</tags>. That should work if the Tags module is working correctly.

Tracy

Hi,

I've got XOOPS Tags module working great within the Wordpress module... but how the ... do I change the Technorati link at the bottom of the post from 'http://technorati.com/tag/xoops' to 'http://technorati.com/tag/self-publishing'?

I've trawled all the files and just can't find it This should be somewhere simple - as most people will want to change it.

Could someone please help? It's probably staring me in the face, but I've just spent an hour looking for the bl*st*d thing!

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers,

Tracy

Hi,

I read the link supplied by Stefan88https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=79 regarding enabling the debug mode via the MySQL DB, and I went and had a look in the DB _config files. There were two places that mentioned the debug mode - I noticed that one of these was set at 0 and the other at 3.

I've now made these both 0 and the system module is back!!

I've also fixed the permalinks in the WP module...

Only thing left is: how do I re-encrypt the password in the mainfile.php?

Cheers,

Tracy

Hi,

Shovel in hand... thanks for getting back to me.

It's 2.0.16, and yes the system module is definitely in the file structure under /modules and xoops_version.php is within it.

It could well be a permissions thing, not sure how well my FTP program deals with those when transferring - I've just taken a look at the main /system folder under modules/ and it's currently 744.

Don't mind getting my hands dirty to do some code-digging, just as long as I know exactly what doc and what part of code!!

If you would prefer to do this via email, I'll pm you my address.

Not sure if this is related, but teh permalinks in the Wordpress module are not working either, so things like 'comments' links come back with "The requested URL /modules/wordpress/2007/07/29/tesco-customer-service-and-need-to-meditate/ was not found on this server." So any help on that would be useful as well.

Stefan88
I don't currently have xoopsinfo or protector installed, I was going to do this on the site tonight - I found the Starting the new' thread too late, and thought... I'll do those once the site is up and ready for tomorrow.

I don't particularly want to install anything new at the moment, with the current system module problem - but if that's the simplest way, I'm happy to do that.

Thank you both for responding and coming to the aid of a damsel in distress

Cheers,

Tracy

Excellent, thank you!! It did the job brilliantly.

I now have a much bigger problem, in that I've transferred the site to another server and now the system module is completely missing from the control panel!! I have posted in the Beginners Forum... 'Starting a new... Missing System Module' - just in case you have any solutions to that one!!

Cheers,

Tracy
