If you have phpadmin i would do a backup ( dump ) of the tables just to be sure . also keep a copy of all the 1.1 files ( just in case ) .

Been playing a bit and found if I edited the code below and removed the " \ all works ok

Quote:
Powered by XOOPS 2.0.7 © 2001-2004 <a href=\"https://xoops.org/\" target=\"_blank\">The XOOPS Project</a> | Hosted by <a href=\"http://www.hostpac.net.au/\" target=\"_blank\">HOSTpac web solutions</a>

This seems to work

So im guessing it is some thing to do with the inverted commas .

Not sure wether this is the right place to ask this Question

Just noticed since updating my site to 2.0.7 that the links in the footer are stuffing up , seems the system is adding the site url to the links in the footer

Eg:

http://www.ozparrots.com/"https://xoops.org//"

instead of beinghttps://xoops.org/

And when i went to > admin > prefences > metatags and footer to check or edit them i see that \ are added

if i edit them out it seems they are added back when i save it .

For Norton's Internet Security 2004 (NIS2004) here's how to do it:

To create the rule
1. Open NIS.
2. In NIS 2004, double-click Privacy Control, and then click Advanced.
3.Click "Add Site". A new site/domain box appears.
4. Enter www.yoursite.com and click OK. The site name appears in the left frame of the Options window.
5. Click on www.yoursite.com where it appears in the left frame of the Options window.
6. Now click the Global Settings tab.
7. In the "Information about visited sites" section, uncheck the box that says "Use default settings."
8. Click "Permit".
9. Click OK to close the Options window.
