Hi Folks,

i'm the webmaster of a german website and i'm looking for a module like the "guestmap"-service from www.bravenet.com. If you don't know what i mean, please visit my site: www.liedermacher-forum.de...

in the head there ist a link called "Woher kommen die Besucher" - if you klick, the service will start...
i hope there ist someone who can tell me, if there ist a module like this anywhere because this service is not so fast and i don't like advertise for other firms

sorry for my really bad english, but i'm only a loosing krautkopf

Ihr Englisch ist besser als mein Deutsch

But I have also been asked by my clients if I can get a similar thing for their site (again without the adverts)

Anyone got any ideas?

if someone could make a module it would be very great. My site's using that thing from Bravenet too, but it also has some limitations.... ;)

I wrote a similar addon for a different forum product, and have it installed on my site (Click User Map near the top right of the page).

I was thinking of porting that as a XOOPS module. It doesn't support comments, but it displays users names and locations. (Adding a pin to the map requires logging in.)

Globetrotter does not need importing to XOOPS ... it will work as an include a popup or in an iframe. I installed it today. Comment: Its a great idea still under development. V 3 promises to be the one to watch out for. The current latest beta still has no options for admin deleting inputs, although this could be achied directly in the db. If you try it dont forget to chmod install.php and config.php to 777. better still manually configue config.php and run straight away.

Fantastic,
cheers for the idea of Globetrotter. Iframed it into the site, It works a treat. Had to mess about abit. The wrong link is on their site, its for alpha 1 heres a handy link for v2 (took me a while to find)

Globe*trotter aplha v2

Then messed with the theme to make it fit in with my sites theme.

But altogether Very nice. I certanly will be keeping an eye for updates as some of the planned features will be very useful (such as zoom)

If you call ../glogetrotter/glogetrotter.php you will get a non framed version. Just the map. Index.php calls the framed version
