G'day All. I'm having the same issue here. If a new user registers, They are automatically being activated, even though the preferences are set to activate by webmaster. Any thoughts?

G'day All. Does anyone know of available icon images or image packs. I'd like to be able to change some of the icons in modules such as nes, sections , ams etc.

I've searched XOOPS without luck.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

G'day again Adepto. All i can say is that i had everthing working fine for ages, and then my hosting provider made changes to the mod_security file.

When this happened I started getting the 406 errors. I then contacted the hosting providor, and they changed the settings back. Everything was fine again after they made the changes.

Cheers

G'day Folks. I had the same issue a while back. The problem is the hosting provider had made changes to the security of the server. I believe the changes were made to the mod_security, though i'm not 100 percent sure. I spoke the the hosting company who then returned the security setting to what they were previously, and that fixed all of the 406 errors. Everything works fine now. My syggestion to ppl are having this issue is to contact your hosting service and ask them to have a look at the security settings. When I spoke to my provider, they new the cause straight up, so I'd think it is a fairly simple issue for them.

Unfortunatley the server i'm on doesn't use Cpanel. so no way of seeing that data with the panel I have.

Does anyone know of a script that will pull that info from the server?

Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply JD. ANy ideas on how i can get some more detail on the server. Such as the server loadf that you mentioned.
If i remember, there is a php script that will give a whole range of detail? any ideas on what that might be?

Also I live in Australia, and the site is hosted in the US which may be part of the delay in loading of pages.

Cheers

I installed phpsysinfo and notice that the amount of ram used sits at about 96-98% of the 512 available. Is this normal? will the server use all the memory that is available to it?
The site takes a while to load, and I am not sure how many other sites are hosted on the same server.

Thoughts and opinions welcome.

I'm in a similar situation too. I installed phpsysinfo and notice that the amount of ram used sits at about 96-98% of the 512 available. Is this normal? will the server use all the memory that is available to it?

so here's the deal...i need someone who can do the following:

- fix the apostrophe and quote bug
- fix the date format (i need american date format) so it works in the calendar itself, as well as in the minical and in the date selector. pulling the value from the XOOPS settings would be ideal.

so uh, who's good for it?

That's exactly what I'm looking for too. And it is frustrating when you don't have the skills to complete the task yourself.

Have you emailed Wjue? I have posted a cpl of topics on his site, but no replies at this stage.

Good luck........
