What version of IE are you using?

Have you set Default Theme and Default template set in admin >> prefs >>gen settings?

Selectable themes are what users can select and not the system default.

The quickest way I found for Windows is to use Appserv.
http://www.appservnetwork.com/

Has everything you need in a nice little package.

It's easy to get in and get rid off after you are done..

Some info on how to set permission on Unix file system.

I think you need to chmod to 644 from 777

Quote:

0 = no permissions whatsoever; this person cannot read, write, or execute the file
1 = execute only
2 = write only
3 = write and execute (1+2)
4 = read only
5 = read and execute (4+1)
6 = read and write (4+2)
7 = read and write and execute (4+2+1)
Permissions are given using these digits in a sequence of three: one for owner, one for group, one for world.

I had the same problem when I was using IIS STMP. Because the ISP blocks all domains expect the localdomain.

Have you tried phpmail()? Give that a shot.

Also in the SMTP section, did you add a username/password for that server.

SMTPAuth.
