That is the module I will be adjusting to XOOPS 2.6 standard; if I get a chance to do any other that where not legacy like the API's by X-Rest; I will; I just injured myself with a sever RSI injury 18 month ago and I was unable to move off the sofa for 12 months; so i am limiting myself at the moment too programming 2 days a week so I don't re-injure myself..
This module is to be translated in the supporting groups for final candidate packaging for the XOOPS SVN, once you have done the translation the translated signature files as well as the language files have to be package and sent to simon@staff.labs.coop with any comments or changes that needed to happen outside any core language folded file-base.
You can connect to the Author of the module with Skype on the account: antony.cipher – this is if you have any question or comments for the module! But please read the PDF before you do contact incase it answers any questions
Please notify either by email and wait for confirmation as a translator, as you will eventually once final packaging being done noted in the code stamp as one of the authors; which you can also do in the resource files.
I think the problem is that I don't have the option of putting in two parts of the article. Does this option only show up if tinymce is the chosen editor? I have dhtmltextarea as the default editor because when I switch to tinymce I just get a blank white page in all the modules.
I will look into solving the tinymce problem. Thank you.
Shortcodes are opening some very cool opportunities for XOOPS. There are plenty of Shortcodes on WordPress, some of them very cool, so feel free to convert them to XOOPS, and share with us.
Let's see who will be the first to convert some Shortcodes from Wordpress to XOOPS!
Let's build a whole library of Shortcodes! We could also build a module that would enable us to register individual Shortcodes from the library, and attach them to the Editor's toolbar.
With Shortcodes there are definitely tons of opportunities for us to make the life of XOOPS users and developers much easier and much more productive!
In the preferences set "Display block summary on items page?" to YES and "Articles display type:" to Full View
When you write the article type the first small part you want to display on the front page in "Block summary" and the rest of your article in the "Body"
You will not have a "read more" button but when you click on the Title of the article you will see the complete article
Bleek: I made a mistake. I have the articles preference set to full view - not summary view. Sorry about that.
How can I get a short summary of each article on the categories page with a read more link? There seems to be just two options of summary view: showing just the title etc or full view: showing the entire article.
