VERRY late reaction on freeop,

Your script is nice but needs more checks, on the way you do you create a security hole, that isn't really what you want é?

This thread is very interesting and seems to be pretty popular, but this is just a start. Is there any more in depth information on how to expand XOOPS modules.

I have written a work order system in php and I am in the process of re-writing it and I have came to the conclusion that I would like to make it a module in XOOPS (Version 2 actually).

I have been looking around and not having any luck finding any good information to help me with this.

Thank you

I've put a XOOPS frame around it, and I'm working on auth part.

... I'm currently hacking wf-sections, mrbs will be next.

any status on your work?

I've done that, but it's not giving them moderator access.

You need to go to the xoopsbb -> edit forum from the admin control panel.

From there you can define users as moderators of the forum you select.

Ok, maybe I'm missing something here, but how do you assign user ranks? I'm setting users as forum moderators, but it's not giving them the rank or the access to do so.

I've looked under ranks, edit user, etc, and I don't see an option for doing this manually. Any idea?

Thanks

Semi offtopic:
Is it also possible to show more informatie in the recent news lines? Such as author and category?

See:
https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=5315&forum=7jump=1

I tried to edit function b_news_top_show() but nothing works. Do I first have to call things from the database?
