Um, I'm using PHP4. I've also used the stable version of XOOPS (5 instead of 6) and it's still happening.

Any other suggestions?

I'm having this problem as well, only, I've patched it, and it's still not working.

Any suggestions?

If you go to www.she-net.com (a site that I administer for a friend), you'll notice that none of the users can stay logged in for more than a few minutes, unless you keep the window open and active.

I had fixed this before but don't remember how (I think it was a hack), but when I upgraded to 2.0.5 it started doing this again, and I can't find the hack.

I've changed the administration settings to stay logged in for ages, and everyone has selected keep the cookie for a year, but everyone, including the Mac users, are still getting logged out regularly.

Hey - I can't find that hack that someone listed earlier...the link is invalid. Any idea where it is or what I should search for on the site to find it?

Thanks!

I just wanted to weigh in, I've set a long time out in the main menu, plus chose the option to store my cookie for a year on my personal profile, and it logs me out if I close the browser, and sometimes even whilst I'm reading the forums.

We've lost a LOT of users in the past two weeks, because people complain that it's losing their login too often.

I like Xoops, and I want to use it, but this is a really important thing. We have a lot of regular users, and it's too much work to relogin in EVERY time you want to post.

Also, is there anyway to mass upload avatars so I don't have to upload every freakin' one of the 200-ish avatars I want on there by hand.

How do I change what directory it pulls avatars from in 2.0?

Thanks!

I've done that, but it's not giving them moderator access.

Ok, maybe I'm missing something here, but how do you assign user ranks? I'm setting users as forum moderators, but it's not giving them the rank or the access to do so.

I've looked under ranks, edit user, etc, and I don't see an option for doing this manually. Any idea?

Thanks
