Thanks for your quick answer.

Personally, I regret this new situation. Now I must find the old modules I was using manually, including corresponding language files. My first try shows that this is quite hard, now these things are seperated...

Okay, call me stupid. I probably missed something. After installing a fresh 2.0.16 I don't see any modules except System.

Don't tell me I need to install every single module manually? If so, why? (there must be a standard pack somewhere then?)

Upgrading from Xoops 1.3.5 (HELP!)

Hi,

One of my sites is still using XOOPS 1.3.5. I want to upgrade tot 1.3.10, but the upgrade files aren't available anymore.

Does anyone know where I can find these old XOOPS 1 files? (or does someone have those files in their archives?)

Or is there also a possibility to upgrade from 1.3.5 to 1.3.10 directly?

Showing IP's in forum (newbb 1)

Hi,

This is probably a stupid question, but I'm trying to locate the IP of someone who is screwing up in one of my forums. I thought the IP's were easy to find, but I can't locate it anywhere within the newbb forum. (while being admin)

That's weird, because the IP's are shown in the old XOOPS 1.3.x which I still use for another site. Also, the ip's are also shown in comments to news etc. So, why not in the newbb forum?

Am I missing something? Is there a way to show the ip's there? (I'm using XOOPS 2.0.9 with standard newbb)

Any help would be appreciated!

Regards,
Yero

Thanks! So, do I understand it correctly that this is an unofficial news module, that is different from the one in XOOPS 2.0.9.2?

News title in HTML title?

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to include the title of the news item on top of the HTML title.

Now it reads: [site name] - [subject name]
(subject name = in my case news, columns, etc)

Articles on my site are spidered by search engines this way. So if anyone finds an interesting article the title reads [site name] - [subject name] instead of the real title of the artikel. This looks really weird in Google and probably prevents people from clicking on it.

It is easy to include the title here?
Of is that already possible in some way?

Yero

Modules for Xoops 1.3.x ?

Hi,

For one of my sites I'm still using XOOPS 1.3.X as I didn't succeed in upgrading to 2.0.X. (the installer freezed in the middle of it).

Nevertheless, the site is running smooth, but I want to add some features to it. Therefore I was looking for old modules for XOOPS 1.3.X. But... I can't find them anymore.

I'm sure I saw a section at the XOOPS site with older modules and hacks for 1.3.X, but it seems to be missing nowadays.

Does anyone know where I can find some older modules?

Regards,
Yero

Users can't stay logged in

With the upgrade to 2.0.9, I also abandoned my PhpBB forum and started using NewBB which is completely integrated. (I'm looking forward to the final of NewBB2)

One thing my users are complaining about is that they have to log in over and over again. They want to stay logged in and are getting a bit annoyed over this change.

So, I installed a hack called 'auto-login' which gives the option to keep a cookie for a year. But this doesn't work. Also, it makes no difference what number I enter in 'duration of session/session time' in the admin configuration; all user are logged out after 30 to 40 minutes of inactivity.

Is there any way to handle this? Should I undo the hack of can I edit the cookie time somewhere manually?

Thanks for any help!
