The normal folders
\ language
\ module \ system \ language
\ install \ language
\ module \ modulename \ language
A bit wrong
The complete list of all files which should be translated (all in UTF-8 without BOM - Byte of Mark) are packed and redistributed in separated archive, unofficial.
Recommended Editor for translating XOOPS, 3rd party libraries/addons used by XOOPS, themes and some sub-classes like Oxygen administration theme engine have to be translated by NotePad-Plus.
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net
The package XOOPS 2.4.0 RC Translators Edition can be obtained from
my site.
The package contain all language files for XOOPS itself, if u plan to make a full translation, eg. installation, upgrade, editors, themes etc. If u plan to make simple translation (like mine), u have to translate the following in UTF-8 without Byte of Mark, no full UTF-8 conversion, NotePad Plus have both options from the drop-down menu Format.
\Language\English\*.*
\modules\module-name\language\English\*.*
\modules\system\class\gui\oxygen\language\english\*.*
\modules\system\class\gui\exm\language\english\*.*
\themes\zetagenesis\language\English\*.*
The folders above covers the core of XOOPS, administration and system modules.
Editors such as FCK and tinyMCE dont have up to date language files, u should compare your language files to the English within them. Koivi isnt translated by many like FCK.
PHPMailer isnt translated too, u should do that no matter is it full translation or partial.
JSCalc2 should be translated too, no matter what is your choice - partial or full.
ps. I'll try to add SF.NET and dev.xoops.org mirrors when I get back home after my wedding. 2-3 days max.
ps2. added JSCalc2/src/language folder.
