What I mean is that when a user signs up they can select a user from your member list that may have referred them to the site. I'm going to be running a contest on my site for referrals, the member with the most referrals wins a prize. This is quite common on BodyBuilding forums but since XOOPS is now doing my registrations and not IBP, it's a little tougher to find a hack.

I'd also like to be able to give each member a url that they can give to people which automatically selects them as the refferer. Something likehttp://mysite.com/regitration.php?referrer=username.

Hope that makes sense.

Excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean with a referral hack?

Has anyone done a referral hack yet? I desperately need one and don't have time to do it myself. If not I suppose I'll have to but if there's one out there please let me know.

Hi,
I experienced the same problem with XOOPS 2.0.4;
I deselected through the admin/groups page the SECTION module and the System Icon is gone.

I 'solved' the problem easly with a backup of the database.... eskuel v 1.0.4
But I'm playing with XOOPS at home....
I will test it also with XOOPS 2.0.5

Could anyone tell us why it's happened!?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Date & Time displayed in realtime?

to make a continously counting clock, you would need to use javascript. There are several scripts available for download. Perhaps this one might help:

Re: read/write access implemented?

It is currently up to the module to enforce security within a module's specific functions (posting a new article, viewing elements in a particular category, etc) The core only provides a mechanism to allow access into the module itself, through group security. I would recommend asking the guestbook module developer for insight on how to modify their module to do what you want.
