I want to change the images on the bulletin board, but I don't want to simply overwrite the existing images. What I need to do is change this:

<img src="<{$categories[category].forums.forum_folder[forum]}>" alt="" />

so that it points to the appropriate graphic in my theme. Any ideas?

I'd be interested in seeing what you have when you're finished.

Will you make it available to download?

Hi,

I use smarty and xoopsTpl to generate a file.
Everything is all-right but smarty generate 2 new lines in my file for 1 new line in my template.

for example :
Xoops
Toto
in my template become
Xoops

Toto
In my file

How can i have 1 for 1 ?

Best regards

OK found the code I was looking for...

in kernel/users.php

Add the extra fields in the form to the function at line 70+. To get them inserted into the DB add them at line 518.

Note: I recommend having the PHP debug mode (preferences) on if you have a problem - it's a great help.

Hi,
I have installed XOOPS 2.0.5 and the News 1.1 module (that one with the XOOPS zip file).
The only user created is the Webmaster.

Problem:
- Once I have added a News I don't know how to approve it.
- When a News is waiting to be approved (a news created by me) I'm not autorized to modify it.
- How can I set a "big story"

From "News Configuration" I can only delete it.

THX

Ceca

Thoom:

The reason your cut&paste operations don's give you results is that a block usually has a PHP file behind to make queries, retrieve and process results and assign those results to the relevant variables, so it isn't as straightforward as many would want.

That said, you can get what you want using a french module called TriBlocks or IncBlocks, that allow you to define up to three different content blocks-in-one. You can see the results of this in the bottom half of Punto flotante.

Cheers.

I would like to set up a forum that will email to a user when a new entry is made in the forum as a topic or reply.
I know this can be done as administrator but the users do not have this option as far as I can see.
Is it possible to set up XOOPS forums to email all entries to a user?

LethZoid:

You need to edit your template. Open Admin > Templates, go for the System Module and look for the template called system_block_search.html. Apply there your alignment stuff. Voilá!

Cheers.
