I've been playing around with the XOOPS2 module admin icons for some stuff I've been tinkering with and with all the talk about icon creation lately, I thought I might release a template based on what I've done. As many developers can tell you, enticing admin icon creation is really one of the most crucial parts of successful module development.

This actually isn't strictly a template...it's really more of an overlay, but that's because I've done most of the hard work for you. Let me show you what I mean....



First, take a solid color, and apply this overlay to it, and you've got yourself a cool new icon base:



Maybe you don't like that color, or maybe you want to add something on top of it:



Whatever the case may be, here it is for you to play with and go crazy. The overlay and the examples (and the original GIMP XCF!) are available at the Matt's XOOPS Mods Savannah Project. I hope this is useful to someone.
