I found this link/article on Slashdot (which I don't think is a great source of quality information) and thought it would be an interesting read for those of us whom hack Free/Open Source software in our spare time. What this survey does is break down what motivates hackers and shows that the caliber of coders that contribute to F/OS, are pros.

Please take some time out of your busy schedules to relish in what some companies have to be scratching their heads over.

Just think, if companies were to truly appreciate what hacking means to developers and allow them to set some code free, how much more quality software there would be in the world.
