We recommend Xoops as the base for professional services Web sites. After trying Xoops and wf-section for my Assembla Web site, we used Xoops for the Bio-era Network portal. Infoworld named bio-era.net to their top 100 portals of 2003. We built a new module for bio-era that includes multiple content types with distinct input and output templates, topic tagging, email alert subscriptions by topic, and ecommerce features.
