News Categories Module Hack Released
I just recently switched to Xoops RC3 and am in the middle of re-doing my site. One thing I needed was multiple news categories so I hacked the news module. This modified news module will let you post news on multiple pages (categories) instead of all news on the same page. Those interested can download it here.

XOOPS Gallery Hack/Update
Ok, I took the great work Ono did on XOOPS Gallery and expanded on it a bit. This module has not been tested by anyone except myself and will probably still have bugs. If you come up with a fix, contact me so that we can get it incorporated. Any and ALL support questions should be posted in the forums, I will NOT answer emails regarding this module or any other XOOPS question. I do this so that everyone can benefit from the Q&A.
1. This release of XOOPS Gallery include a random image block that will scan the entire album directory for thumbnails created by XOOPS Gallery and display them in a block.
2. The templates were modified a bit to unclutter the main gallery page because if you had a lot of sub-galleries (as I do) then the page was hard to navigate. These are not standard issue templates and you may want to play with them to that they are to your liking.
3. I tweaked the PageNav code a little to suit my needs and make things a little clearer.
Disclaimer: Neither the XOOPS Gallery or this hacked version of XOOPS Gallery are official modules so, please keep this in mind when installing and using.

hi again folks, here it is the long-awaited newsletter module for xoops 1.3.9 (not tested with x2).
it adds a column in xoops_users table, enabling an int trigger.
if the trigger is 1 (modifiable in sources) then the user can receive admin's newsletter (txt one, written in control panel).
features:
the trigger can be edited from user's profile or via admin panel by a simple checkbox.
can preview the email that we are sending to users and emails that will receive the newsletter.
improvements are welcome (the code is not elegant for me, coded in a hurry).
don't forget to read the readme.txt include in package, may contain some bug.

New 3dBlack theme for Xoops2 RC3
Yup, the never ending theme creation continues although this is my first theme. Looks good but there's probably a few bugs left.Made it by making some heavy changes to the Springtime theme from http://ackbarr.greatweb.com. Credits to him.
Might put it up for downloading on this Xoops site soon but there's a lot of graphical changes and in the meantime you can get it all on my site, http://www.webbsida.org. There you can also get a nearly finished swedish translation for Xoops2 RC3.
Webbsida.org is a swedish site for us website creating loonies. Newly created, it will (i think) focus on creating a community based knowledge base including everything from design to programming (not just Xoops). Not much of that yet but sign up, share your problems and knowledge and we will definately get things working.
es.kde.org running with XOOPS
Im happy to announce that es.kde.org is running XOOPS 2!. My team and I moved to XOOPS cos we attepmt to make a dynamic, interactive and strong CMS. XOOPS is all that we need and we hope to XOOPS continues growing

Spotlight 1.0.2 & updates
the spotlight module for xoops 1.3.9 is out, this release is mainly a bugfix one, now the wiki and html codes are displayed correcly in spotlight.

inter\face -- New Xoops2-Powered Literary Magazine!
I am pleased to announce the new Xoops2 incarnation of inter\face magazine. Inter\face specializes in new and experimental writing.
I moved to Xoops in attempt to build a stronger, more interactive community that can give direct feedback to the writers. I am hoping that in the future Xoops will develop a meta-moderation system something like what Scoop (kuro5hin.org) uses, so that the "selection" of "submissions" can be effectively done by the readers.
