I am trying to get a list together of all the online gaming websites using Xoops, so we can look at each others websites and share idea related to Xoops and online gaming.
I started a forum thread in the Xoops Members lounge, located here:
minusdriven.com is dedicated to the band [minus.driver]. This is not my first Xoops site, however, I felt that the Xoops system was perfect for the content I wanted to include. My vision for the site was to have an interactive community of fans in which the members of the site could play an integral part in the evolution of the content on the site. I did, however, feel that the traditional Xoops look was not quite right for the direction I wanted to go with the site. I had an idea for a theme that was different than any other I had seen so far in browsing Xoops sites, however I was not sure if it would work.
As a xoops user, I needed a module that would automatically created RSS and JS feeds for the mylinks module. The bad news is, the only module that would do the job was Lykos Syndication, and it had not been updated in a long time to support the new paths, query strings and database usage of the lastest version of xoops.
I've fixed the module so that it now creates proper rss and js feeds for the mylinks and mydownload modules. Now when someones running your rss or js feed on their page, it will properly link to the page or file.
Many people have asked about a file uploader recently so I have decided to place this news item. There is a simple file uploader module available that allows a single directory on your server to receive file upload and download traffic. The user interface offers a "file browse" window to select any file on your local machine. There is also a description form box to accompany each file uploaded. Files are displayed in date order in a table shown on the same page. The title of each uploaded file is a clickable link allowing it to be viewed online as a preview.
My team and I have created an advanced blog module. We need beta testers to work out the kinks. Once testing is complete, we'll release the module with install instructions.
Some notes on this blog module: 1) It's a loosely integrated port of Roller Weblogger. 2) It allows users to select themes and setup blogs on the fly 3) Every blog has an RSS feed, comments ability and many more features.
Do you have a Xoops site? Do you play BF1942, Desert Combat, Forgotten Hope, or any mods for BF1942? Do you need a means of tracking stats and would like to have them templated into your site? You are in luck. I have just released the modulated version of select(bf). This is a basic wrap of the original software, but incorps some of xoops security when accessing the admin menu. This is just the first release of this module, so if you have a bug or anything of that nature, please post it on our bug reporting system, or simply post it in the forums. Please make sure that you read the "HELP" that is accessable via the admin menu for Xoops BFSTATS, it explains the initial configuration of the config file.
Hi xoopers, i'm pleased to release my pack/patch which adds some features to Spaw module. In details i've:
