eXtcal 1.0 is out
eXtcal is a simply event manager which is developed exclusively for XOOPS.

For the moment you can submit new events by admin menu and manage events by category. The next version will have more feature like goup perm to allow group to view or/and post event, notification system for event submit and 2 more blocks (a block like spotlight for event and another to display the number of upcoming and total event by cat). Moreover, we will link eXtcal module to news module to make news linkable with an event's date.

Event management software was integrated with email-servers, web content management and finance software to give a total on-line business solution. The site automates many tasks such as submitting speaker proposals, PDF delegate invoices, managing booking preferences and allowing delegates to interact with each other prior to the event.

Today is a happy day for me - it is the day I turned the 'Turn Site Off' button to 'No'! http://www.lost-doggies.com is a revamped version of the former lost-doggies.co.uk web site that I had to close in 2003 because I could not keep up with the manual content of it.
Thanks to Xoops and its developers, the superb developers of modules, and the superb developers of themes, I have been able to re-launch what I consider to be a really good site for all the dog lovers in the world!

XOOPS Reduces Development Time Dramatically
I created a new video games site using xoops!

It updates the front page blocks dynamically with data from the users. So if a new video game comes out, and someone searches for it on the site, it will automatically appear on the front page if its new.
The video game data is kept fresh automatically using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Using XOOPS2 I created this site in a matter of days.
XOOPS helped me to concentrate on the core applications for the site instead of having to worry about how I will build the user database this week. ;)
I'm looking for feedback about the site.

Xoops 2.0.7.1 Auto Login Hack Pack
OK, for the lazy among us 
, there is one file (include/common.php) in the new 2.0.7.1 bugfix release of Xoops that overwrites GIJOE's awesome auto login hack if you have enabled it, so I put this pack together so all you have to do is unrar, upload, and update.
You can download the 2.0.7.1 Auto Login Hack Pack in RAR format from:

To enable this hack;
(1) Unrar files
(2) Upload files to the root directory of your Xoops 2.0.7.1 install
(3) Update the system module from the modules admin section in the Xoops control panel.
NOTE: If you are using a custom template set you will need to edit the system_block_login.html for that set.
