Official Xoops Smilie Dictionary
The official smiley database has been published in the wiki, this is as a guide for smiles when you are extending your smiley database in xoops, I would love to one day see xoops have these all natively but I am unsure who should render them all.
This is the Basic Smiles Not all of these are currently in xoops, but you can get the full smiley database from chronolabs wiki or here at the xoops wiki.

This module displays the latest news from the news module (1.56) in a block.
Features:
1. Can set the number of articles to display, using one or more columns.
2. Can choose to display the title, author, date, comments link, and other display settings.
3. Can customize image properties in all articles (i.e. width, height, position, borders).
4. Can customize the number of letters to truncate each news item, without cutting off any words midway.

You can also, on the module's homepage, activate navigation links to see more downloads than the latest files.
Finally, you can use a global RSS feed or by category.
The French, English and Arabic translations (in the module) are up to date.
The files with the Danish and Spanish translations are not up to date.
You can download the file at this address :

If you are updating an existing installation on your site, just copy files to your site, taking care to overwrite existing files, and Update it.

WOX (World of XOOPS) Newsletter # 9
Another month, and another issue of the WOX (World of XOOPS) Newsletter (see here previous versions). We continue to appreciate your comments, feedback, and improvement suggestions, as we want WOX to be the best publication for XOOPS Users. There are several very exciting things that happened in May, and we hope that June will be even better!
1) In month of May we continued with building up our XOOPS Board of Advisors. We were very lucky in engaging three outstanding individuals to join our Board of Advisors, in addition to XOOPS Founder, Onokazu:
- Justin Erenkrantz, President of Apache Software Foundation
- Prof. Alan C. Moore from Kentucky State University
- Richard Fontana, a lawyer from Red Hat specializing in Open Source issues
Please help us to welcome them to the XOOPS family!!!
2) The second exciting news was that we have created a "XOOPS Hall of Fame", to recognize people who provided in the past extraordinary support and dedication for XOOPS, and helped to move XOOPS forward. It is just a small token of appreciation for all the hours they've spent on making XOOPS what it is today - one of the world's finest Web portal systems around!
The 2008 Inductees to XOOPS Hall of Fame:
