Do you use default search form or any google engine?

It works like a charm here on 2.0.18.1RC
Did you set correctly the settings? it seems so.
It works only with the XOOPS search block of course.
Try to enable debug mode to see if something is wrong.
Do synergy or die.

this is weird..

1- i'm using a fresh installation in localhost xampp
Quote:

# Apache HTTPD 2.2.6 + Openssl 0.9.8g
# MySQL 5.0.51
# PHP 5.2.5
# PHP 4.4.7

2. no any search engine...i've activated the search block
3. no debug error (php5.25)
4. permission has been set

---- EDIT.........

i just come to know what's the problem... php version !!!

i use php-switch.bat in xampp to change to PHP 4.4.7 and now its working.....

after i change to php4 this is the debug message I received
NoticeOnly variables should be assigned by reference in file /search.php line 140
Notice
Only variables should be assigned by reference in file /search.php line 168
Notice
Only variables should be assigned by reference in file /kernel/module.php line 550

how to make this module compatible with php5 ? my live server is PHP5

You may change php.ini
allow_call_time_pass_reference = On

or check SVN:
http://xoops.svn.sourceforge.net/view ... ps?view=rev&revision=1290

I'm sorry this is not php version problem or anything like that

i had actually put 0 for the hasSearch in xoops_version.php..long2 time ago

(i read this : https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=435)

that is the reason why it is not working..

i changed it back to 1 and now its working

i don't know why yesterday i switched php version..its working in php4 not working in php5

now i can confirmed it is both working in php5 or php4

thousand apologies

hmm...is there anyway to exlude isearch from search without comprimising the module function ?
is it a must for the isearch module to be there to make this module work ?

Same trouble with two modules :
• Tag
• Content (MusS version)

$modversion["hasSearch"] = 0; ... checkbox are still displayed in search form even if search function is actually desactived

(PHP 5.2)
Still learning CSS and... english
