Just as a heads-up to other users, the XOOPS 2 backend.php file isn't broken if you get reports of it not displaying headlines properly.

If one of your syndicators reports that your feed is showing up as XOOPS 2, followed by the tail-end of your story URL, let them know that your backend.php file is using RSS 2.0 now, instead of RSS 0.91.

This ought to clear up any display problems!

i have a much larger problem though... i cannot get backend.rss to display anything at all... please check outhttp://hififorum.co.uk/backend.php

If there's any configuring to do at installation for RSS, i don't think i bothered, but now i want RSS to work, and i don't know what to do!

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help

It shows perfectly fine for me... A normal XML file in the RSS 2.0 standard.

In some browsers, some versions of IE esp, an RSS/XMl file will not display if you click on it directly.

If you right click and save as, or view it with a different browser, then you will be able to see it.

it's ok... i know what the problem is now... it's not backend.php, it's the page that it should be called on:

http://hififorum.co.uk/modules/liens

At the bottom, it says "Example", but there's nothing there... any ideas??

[EDIT]Ignore that, it works fine now... just didn't earlier. Is backend.php run at intervals to write to an intermediate file or anything??[/EDIT]
