Where is a good place to find or hire coders familiar with Xoops? I need a module built. I've tried Rent A Coder but no one there seems familiar with Xoops.

I've done a few modules and could be available depending on your project and budget. PM me.

Cheers.

It might not be a bad idea to create a forum called market place. All request for paid work could start there.

We might also consider starting a bounty system. Members could donate to a project and when an agreed amount of cash is reach the project could then be picked up by a coder. Guide lines would have to be drawn up of course.

.

I am in the process of designing such a module for use by module developers or pretty much any open source project that would require donation based development.

The current plan is to have donation targets for each task. Tasks are then grouped into milestones giving the ability to track donation targets by milestones... throw in a ticketing system/wish list/help desk which you will be able to assign a donation target and then set against a milestone (if required).

Cheers.

McNaz, Jharis,

This is a very interesting idea. I have been doing paid custom development for many users of XOOPS and I beleive this kind of module would be really usefull.

I would be interested in this project MxNaz, if you think you could need help...

Let me know !

Hi Marcan.

Many thanks for the offer. I am still designing the class hierarchy and tables. Will give you a shout if I need a hand.

Many thanks.

Gentlemen, there is a sneak preview of xProject.

I will be doing an official announcement in the next day or two (depending on how much I get done and how quickly).

Cheers.
