Soapbox module block

Hello. I have had the soapbox module (is an articles module) installed for some time now and now it will not display the articles block on the front page for anonymous users. (notice the missing white space ofhttp://www.think-flight.com ) once logged in it works fine.

Now my real question is: is there any settings other than the group settings that would prevent the showing of this soapbox (recent articles) block for anonymous users? I have gone through my group settings several times and I cant find anything set wrong. Or are there any major known bugs w/ the database that would cause this?

Thanks,
Ben

riorben:

There's been a tenacious problem with the blocks in Soapbox because of the group permissions. However, I think I have fixed it for good. I'm now in the process of making the final testings for a more stable version of Soapbox. If we're lucky, it won't take longer than a couple of days before release. Please have a little more patience, and I think it'll be worth it.

Cheers.

I downloaded your 1.3 version. I didn't realize this but I was only using 1.0 (I guess I got it off an outdated site)

Well all works fine now w/ the 1.3 version (well it is really the 1.4 beta but from dev, but i guess it is officially still 1.3)

Thanks for the help
Ben

hi hsalazar,

Can you tell me how to remove the nav bar and intro to soapbox?

Here is waht I am talking about:

<div id="content"> <table id="mod_header">
<
tbody><tr><td width="100%"><span class="h18px"><a href="http://mysite">Home</a> > Soapbox</span></td>
<
td width="100"><span class="h18right">Soapbox</span></td></tr>
</
tbody></table>

<
h3 class="h3a">Welcome to Soapbox</h3>
<
span class="intro">In this area of the site you will find our
catalogue of editorial columns
, as well as the latest article from each
of our authors
Click on a column’s name to see all the articles
associated to that column
, or on an article’s name to read directly the
article
Depending on privilegesyou can rate each articleselect
notification options
or leave your comments.</span>

I really don't need to remove it so much as change the text there. Where is this h3a class or intro?

Xoopsers:

Just so the comment doesn't get lost that quickly, I've uploaded a fresh version of Soapbox, this one under the moniker v1.5 RC2. Details here.

I hope you like the changes.

Cheers.

Horacio, you have laboured long and hard over this module, but at last its beginning to stand as a really superb piece of scripting. The features and style are stunning. I've just uploaded the latest RC and so far all is sweet!! I really like the additional spotlight block that now takes pride of place on the front page.

Thanks for all your hard work and persitance

Richard

A fresh announcement would make more users aware of this fabulous looking and well presented feature rich article management module. (when you are ready of course)

And a reminder to users to copy the style.css sheet contents in the root of soapbox into their themes stylesheet will help them to get the full impact of its stunning layout.
