I have installed the xtremeguestbook mod though I am not sure if I am using the correct version.(I can only read english and found it on a non-english site) It looks great though I have found if the "title" box is left blank, the post goes to a blank page and doesn't take. Only this box does this, email or website can left blank. Is this the way it is suppose to work or do I have the wrong version? The guestbook download I used is 2.0.3 and my version of XOOPS is 2.0.5. The first one I tried was 2.0 , it looked nothing like the rest of the site.

Unfortunately, I don't speak php either, just english!

I have the same problem since i have Update to XOOPS 2.5

I have search many hours for the bug but i'm dosent find them.
I have fix them by include a defualt Titel like "Just a message" in the Script when the Titelfield is empty.

Its not a clean way but it works.

Dirch

P.S.:
Sorry for my bad english

I encountered the same problem when I updated to XOOPS 2.05
Because I had no time to look into it, I changed the file sign.php for the moment, like :

Quote:
else
$url_v = !empty($xoopsUser) ? $xoopsUser->getVar("url", "E") : "http://www.rainbowshaman.com";

Be happy if someone finds the time to deal with this

Aloha

I have edit in the file "sign.php" the line 51 and 52

49: if (isset($HTTP_POST_VARS["title"]))
50$title_v $myts->makeTareaData4PreviewInForm($HTTP_POST_VARS["title"]);
51: else
52$title_v="Nur so"//here is the titel

I can send you the file when you give me your email at PM

Got this allready set at 'empty' aber nur so ist auch gut.
But, and now I'm quoting Winny the Pooh while he was pulled of a staircase with his head banging against it :

There has to be another way, if only the pounding in my head would stop

I typed "Just Visiting" there and it works fine, but it looks so silly...
Would it be possible to have the name of the poster there? I mean: If it's left blank, it copies the name of the user...

The version I'm using is 2.3 (I downloaded it from here).

There is also this thread which talks about some compatibility issues that some are having (I had a fresh install and therefore had no problem).

As for the title, you could also try this:

In the xtremeguestbook_post.html template, change:
<{$post.i}> - <{$post.title}>

To something like this:
<{$post.i}><{if $post.title}> - <{$post.title}><{/if}>

This should then only display the title if one exists (BTW you should probably just download v2.3 first and then see if anything needs to be hacked ).
