add XOOPS to your trusted sites list (allow everything from XOOPS.org).

That's strange, I have Zone Alarm too, but I've never got this problem

I think maybe you set a lower security level.

WHAT?!
Disabling cookies may make it worse... not better...
Xoops uses cookies (yum!)...

I use ZA at home w/o issues.... I administer both a remote site with xoops, as well as a local copy (for testing).... and I've never had any issues here either.

I am having the same problem. I am using ZoneAlarm Pro v4.0. I think ZA block 3rd party cookies or ZA strip out the headers or something.

When I try to register, it will says "cannot register user" at then very end. When I try to post forum, it will say "cannot insert post to this forum" after I press submit and everythig is gone.

p.s. PHP-NUKE sites does not have this problem.

Found the problem... after few tests, I found if I disable the "remove private headers" option in ZA, then it will work.

Sounds like XOOPS uses private headers for user infos. Can we change that? since disable is common for those AdWares.
