Well... Don't ask it to me. It was changed by the people of Xoops.org staff, not me, hehehe!

But the name of your site isn't "Xoops Brazilian Support" and it was this way before. Why didn't you asked to it be changed before?

I suggest you ask to http://www.xoops.org administrador by PM/e-mail. Don't need to use public forums for this.

A internationalization of XOOPS is more important than a internationalization of brazilian disagreements.

I find that for the good of the system XOOPS in Brasil it would be better and exclusion of reference the support in Brasil in this site.

We have some sites and the time will show which site supplies the best support.

How to behave on the XOOPS.org websites
The XOOPS Community is well known for it's friendlyness and willingness to help those who need it. In order to keep that reputation, and to be able to act on those instances where the reputation may be damaged, we have made a set of simple rules every member should abide by. I'd also like to know what the reason for name change was, since thas specific site, the official Brazilian support site since it was the only one (I understand that this has changed, but AFAIK it still is the official support site).
And it never was, and never will be, known as XOOPS Underpop. Search Google for XOOPS Brasil and you'll find that same site, the Sourceforge project called XOOPS Brasil also related to that site, etc., etc.

Now, there's no doubt that us Brazilians were able to make a huge mess with community politics and personal issues. So here's my personal account of this mess...

I was affiliated to XOOPS Brasil when we all were good XOOPS users/translators, and since part of the developers/translators from that original community started the XOOPS Brasil community, I've been away from both. I'll never get to join or cooperate with xoops-br.blogspot.com, IMO a commercial adventure with very few contributions (and bad ones at that) that was (again, IMO) the main cause of problems inside the original XOOPS Brasil team.

Compare and contrast contributions made by each of these communities in sourceforge:
XOOPS Brasil, lead by Mikhail since it was the only group. Mikhail is a workaholic, has a deep passion for open source and XOOPS, and has a quick temper that causes so many problems that when I get to meet him I'm gonna kick his knee

XOOPS Brasil, lead by many people from the original group, a mixed bag of hardworkers. Mostly good people, many of them somehow feel offended by Mikhail, others believed in more than one community living in peace.

xoops.org, I have to agree, webhost lobby.

Anyway, Mikhail is usually alone in these arguments, if you take note of just who is flaming he, that'll mostly be people from XOOPS Brasil, many of whom still feel offended.

There are nasty bits from each part (including myself) and I'd rather not mention any... xcept for these trends:
- XOOPS Brasil does want to become the official Brazilian support site;
- XOOPS Brasil and xoops-br.blogspot.com want XOOPS Brasil to get known as "another Brazilian community";
- XOOPS Brasil (actually Mikhail) has the habit of customizing index.html redirects and footers to an extent that it gets hard to reach XOOPS.org from their/his work (the second kick will be for this);
- Mikhail goes ballistic on anyone he deems a traitor;
- XOOPS Brasil and xoops-br.blogspot.com love to make Mikhail go ballistic on anyone;
- I don't like xoops-br.blogspot.com

There.
Huge mess.
Still, I don't understand the name change... I hope admins here have a thick skin against any kind of lobby (mine included).

in portuguese.

Mikhail, leaves us in peace, please!
