I have uploaded the xoops_206_207.php file to the upgrades directory and ran it. It seemed to work fine and now my Group functions are working right so I know it workwd. But, I still have version 2.0.6 listed in the footer. Do I have to upload some other files as well?

Did you download the updatefile some time ago?
I think there was a version that lacked the version.php in '/include' directory.

Check that file in your actual installation and if needed change it or download the update patch agin and take that one.

You may also have to go into your module admin and update the System Module. Just click the image link and it should perform it's magic.

I changed the version number in version.php to 2.0.7 and that seemed to work. Also, The new 2.0.7 files seem to be organized better in the directory. Is there a way to manually reorganize the files or will that break links?

if so, check beyond compare

There are about 10 files in the main "HTML" directory in version 2.0.7 and about 20 files in 2.0.6. What is "beyond compare"?

the upgrade packages only include files that have actually been changed. So this means that only 10 files in the /html directory changed between versions 2.0.6 and 2.0.7. Beyond Compare is a file comparison tool that is helpful when wanting to see exactly what lines of text changed in a given file.
