Searched around a bit too, now using Flashchat. its not free ($5 to download script). Integrates very well with XOOPS and other CMS. Well worth it!!

I personally have tried the others and FlashChat is the BEST by far!! Very customizable and only $5...

I would look no further, seriously!

hello! is there no 3D AVATAR chat available for xoops? This would be really nice. I saw there are some around (f.eg. http://www.cowtoon.com/index.htm ) but I have no clue if they are somehow embeddable to xoops.

cowtoon is really good one, but it would be usefull to fun and frolic sites only. I need something simple, easy to use and fast.

I tired xoopschat, ChatMx, both didnt comeup at my place.

I am a big fan (and registered user) of FlashChat.

FlashChat, at $5, is great if your users need an easy to use chat interface. It is great looking and easy to use for the users. This pays for future upgrades, as well, which are ongoing.

Installation was a breeze, and with the XOOPS integration instructions, it will use the XOOPS login. It also automatically uses the "Who's Online" block to indicate that people are in chat.

The only down sides are, it costs $5 and your users need to install Flash.
