I would look no further, seriously!

Need Help... Language Pack and Blank Pages

I've looked at all the blank pages topics and cannot find an answer. My buddy installed a language pack module in his 2.0.5 installation. Then began the trouble. He could not add new users and now gets blank pages anywhere he goes including admin. I went into his database and turned on debug and got this:

Notice [PHP]: unserialize(): Error at offset 0 of 28 bytes in file kernel/configitem.php line 100
Notice [PHP]: unserialize(): Error at offset 0 of 21 bytes in file kernel/configitem.php line 100

Warning [Xoops]: Smarty error: unable to read template resource: "****phpkaox/theme.html" in file class/smarty/Smarty.class.php line 1042

The last line seems to show that Smarty is looking for phpkaox/theme.html but looks like it's looking for it in ****phpkaox which doesn't exist.

Is there a solution to this issue????

Help Please.

Jeff

Hi Gang,

I REALLY want to convert my postnuke site to xoops. The biggest thing for me is members and the forums. Has anyone done any more work in this area? If there were a full fledged converter I'm sure many folks would make the switch over.

Commissioner based Fantasy Sports Module

This has bugged me for a long time so I have to ask. There are many folks who belong to Fantasy Sports Leagues. Is there a possibilty that anyone in the XOOPS community is working on a Fantasy Sports Module with a Commissioner type of admin system? It would require a TQ Stats system or some kind of stats feed. The commissioner would have like admin control over moving players, assigning teams, making trades, etc. Something like CBS Sportsline I think. The module would have to keep track of all player stats for every player in a Baseball/Football league.

Anyone?

I posted in another thread about this but I must say I'm in awe with Surpass. I am fortunate enough to be in need of a dedicated server and signed up with Surpass. A half hour after signing up I received a phone call to verify my registration and ask if I had any questions. Approx. 8 hrs. after sign up my new server was online and ready for me. I haven't looked back since and have had no downtime. I host both a postnuke site(1400 members) and a XOOPS site(30 members).

Jeff

Xoops & Surpass - An AWESOME combination.

Now if I could only convert my postnuke site to XOOPS I'd be in Hog Heaven.

Interesting... Based on this thread which I've been keeping an eye on and others recommendations I just purchased a dedicated server from Surpass today! I can tell you that so far it's been great service from the friendly emails to the personal follow up phone call.

Since the topic is going already I'll ask my question. I've got a PostNuke install running pnphpbb2 and would like to be able to move it to xoops. Anyone know if it can be done? I don't think bbpixel can do it.

Mithrandir,

how about a hack which gathers all forum posts for a day and then sends them out digest mode to those who enable that notification feature?

Doable???
