Hello all,

I was wondering if there is a psoibility to have the functionality of a phpbb forum in XOOPS without users have to register or login twice.

I like the use of xoops, but i`m missing my old PHPBB because of many futures witch are no inserted in newbb. I remeber there was a module phpbb for xoops, but that wasn`t working fine and only for the 1.2 or 1.3 core.

I would preciate if anyone kan tell me if its possible to have a phpbb forum inside XOOPS without double registrations

Kind regards, Ron www.auto-sport.nu

I recommed the IPB Module too. Invision Power Board is the best forum script avaliable. The new version (v2.0.0) is on the way, and I hope it will be ported to XOOPS too.

How do I install the phpbb for Xoops? I tried, and I get to the installation page and when I click for it to install, the page just refreshes and nothing happens.

If you wait, say 2 or 3 weeks, the new newbb on which Predator is working will be available and it looks really really promising, with many many new features and bells and whistles that you might want from other bb systems.

I'm using the Invision Powerboard module (also bbpixel) for Xoops. That one has way more features than phpbb. The newbb forum is too oldfashioned for my website and lacks too many features.

Will the new newbb have the option to be run outside the XOOPS website (so no blocks on the left, and right)?

This is already possible through the blocks administration. You could set the blocks in that way, that no block is shown when the newbb is displayed.
