Seems I spoke to soon :(

Now whenever I enter the 'Groups' admin function, I'm presented with a white screen.

I'm hoping somebody can provide me with the details of the SQL changes required to restore the user who has site admin access to a custom group I have created?

sorry, I see now that the code has CVS markup (!'s and -) in front of the code). Remove those from the code and see if it works then...

[edit]Alternatively, you can downlaod the CVS version of /modules/system/admin/groups/main.php here - right click this link and 'save target as' main.php, and upload this to your server, to the path above.

Thanks Herko, your latest update worked superbly, and now I'm happily one site admin less :)

I've said it once - I'll say it again :) You Rock!

Can't wait for the next major XOOPS release.

There is a further problem with the code fix.

My ex-admin, who was granted Admin rights only to assist with maintenance of our FAQs, has now had their admin rights removed, however they are still able to see and successfully use the Administration Menu option, and also the FAQ module only in an Administrator capacity.

Seems the action to remove them from the Admin group has functioned correctly, however the actual user permissions remain, and they're now a 'registered user' with FAQ Admin capabilities.

Now i think get a little bit more complicated but everything is possible thanks to phpmyadmin! Someone from the development team must tell you in which table are the permissions of each user and you will fix it.

I Hope I help you!

@ longhair

I used the fix Herko provided above and my former webmaster now has no admin rights. Maybe there is an issue in particular with the group you created to allow the administration of the FAQ module.

Good Luck!
