Missing modules not installed

Modules that are not installed or have been uninstalled are no longer showing on one of my XOOPS sites since a recent upgrade to 2.0.7.3

How may I enable new modules via SQL?

Re: Whats the version of NEWS module at xoops.org

I asked the same question here. Herko advises it's currently a hack of the Spotlight module.

Re: What version am I using

Login to your admin section and check the footer there for a line like

'Powered by XOOPS 2.0.7.3 © 2001-2003 The XOOPS Project' or similar.

Re: Allow anonymous users to view registered user profiles?

How does one disable anyone viewing member profiles for those sites that aren't overly visitor friendly?

Re: About the XCOMICS module.....

I use the Comics module and it does in fact update once a day.

In regards to copyrights, I'm no lawyer, but the default module installation did include userfriendly.org comics, which when viewed popped up a rather amusing image to inform me that taking the comic in this way was not to their liking.

I've since disabled User Friendly from the module, and I also added the comments of 'All comic strips remain the property of their respective owners' under each strip to avoid bother.

I've not had a problem to date with comic owners and copyright.

Re: Sharing Members??

Check this thread for conversation about sharing member databases, and talk of future inclusion of this feature.

I'd like to see it in action.

Re: pnFLASHGAMES

That said, I've also only managed to add new games via the public interface, not the admin. Adding games via your sites pages works.

I assume the licence key field is for any games you may purchase which require a licence to activate.

Re: pnFLASHGAMES

I solved this problem by modifying the persmissions of my 'cache' folder to 777.
