Thanks again for a cool forum upgrade. I can't wait to see what you'll think of next.

samuels i suggest u add newbbex modifications to newbb pro
specially these hits:
1- administration feature like phpbb
2- Replace user's name with real name
3- recent private & public topic block

it is great work to collect useful hacks in one

@Hennessy:
Are you running the latest version of Xoops?
I tried on 2.0.3, and that didn't work. Then I upgraded to 2.0.6 and it ran like a charm.

@samuels:
Another suggestion:
When moderators edit a post, it would be neat to see "edited by blabla at bla/bla/bla bla:bla" in small type at the bottom of the post.
(just a suggestion)

@Setaseta
This option is commented by default, you can turn it on editing post.php file and uncomentting line 142.
(Just delete the // simbols)

@Hennessy
Make sure you're using newbb pro templates. Custom templates like xt2 theme or others doesn't have all smarty variables.

About newbbex hacks implementation.
By now i'm adapting the admin panel and new blocks. Other hacks need bd changes and I don't want to do more bd changes before newb pro has more tested.

I use the Zaja template.
In admin settings templates, I first deleted all the forum templates, then generated new ones, thus forcing the instal of the newbbpro templates.
But still got a blank screen while going into the postings of a forum.
Will go on searching
Aloha

Cool
*tinkers with it*

The newbb forum is getting damn nifty.
Now we need a script edit that'll have it fold your laundry and answer the phone.

For those that are getting blank pages when you click on a forum. I had that a while back, and I installed a 2.06 patch and that fixed my problem when trying to view topics.

Apparently some versions of php produce this bug,I am not sure if it has been fixed. If it is this you would need to do a file compare to ensure you dont overwrite new code from newbbpro.

The patch is Here

when I try to upload newbb_thread.html from the system admin - templates it gives me the following error:

Errors Returned While Uploading
MIME type not allowed: text/plain

and this is what I have in the class/mimetype:

"html" => "text/html",
"htm" => "text/html",

All the other templates upload just fine..

But still the topics don't change as read.. even when I click on Mark all as read.. they remain the same..
I really need help with this thing :)
