Hey Lance,

What exactly do you mean by multisite, is that a hack or a script? Can you send it to me?

What I am trying to do is have a new subdomain on my website that uses mainly the user file.. and some other tables on the db. I've read the posts in the forum but I don't think they have determined if that works or not.

I have a XOOPS website and now I am starting a new XOOPS website but I want to use a few tables from the old database (the users table, the forum, and the album)..
The two websites can be hosted either on the same server or two different servers (whichever works better).
Is there a way to link those tables and how can I do that. Thank you in advance.

I was wondering if there is a way to download the version that you have right now..
What I need in particular is for people to know which topics they have read and which are new..
The other features are not really important to me but the issue that I have pointed out is going to increase dramaticly the activity on my forum. Thank you in advance.

I've been writing a lot in this thread but it doesn't seem like I got a lot of help..

I had some problems with the new forum.. mainly the fact that read msgs didn't fade..(no result when I click on mark all).. I thought it might be something that I did wrong when upgrading from newbb 1 to the new module.. so I deleted my old forum(uninstalled newbb, deleted modules/newbb, deleted all newbb files in template_c).. and I installed a fresh version of the forum (the latest link that samuels has posted).. and I still have the same problem..

At this point I have no idea how to fix this.. I've tried everything.. so I need some help and I would really appreciate it if someone could help me..

PS.. if you read my previous posts you might notice that I've tried a lot of other things before actually deleting the forum (actually deleting the forum turned out not to be such a big deal.. since I was able to save the db)

PS2. I just need a hint to where the problem might be..

Herko.. I've tried the manuel caballero but it still doesn't work..

do you think it's a problem with my system or the module..
I have the 2.0.6.. and it's been working fine..

I would really appreciate some help with that :)
I am thinking of running a Miss Contest... so I think I think the would do a good job.. if I add a little thing for ratings.. Thank you in advance

my forum is up and running again :)

samuels I sent you a private msg...and thank you a lot for helping me :).. I really hope that one day my forum going to be able to mark the read topics :))) like all the other for whom the hack worked..

it still doesn't work.. gives me the same error..

I am getting really frustrated with this..

now when I open a certain topic it shows only the topic but when I click on it .. it doesn't show the threads..

let me tell you how the system looks like so you have a general idea..

when I click on templates I have two options.. one is called default and the other one is the one I am using.. the strange think is that it allowes me only to edit the one that I am using right now.. and not the default one..
I go on preferences and change it.. but it still doesn't allow me to edit the one called default.. I don't know if this has anything to do with it.. but I hope it could help..

I made sure that I overwrite all the files in my newbb directory.. and updated a million of times.. I uploaded the templates manualy (probably around 5 times).. and it still doesn't work..

do you know a way that I could just get rid of the newbb and reinstall a fresh version but keep the db..

when I try to upload newbb_thread.html from the system admin - templates it gives me the following error:

Errors Returned While Uploading
MIME type not allowed: text/plain

and this is what I have in the class/mimetype:

"html" => "text/html",
"htm" => "text/html",

All the other templates upload just fine..

But still the topics don't change as read.. even when I click on Mark all as read.. they remain the same..
I really need help with this thing :)
