JackJ,

I appreciate your help and prompt responses. In your bughunting and fixing, did you ever come across the following problem I'm currently having with this version of wfsections ?

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=17452&forum=4&post_id=73533#forumpost73533

Thanks,

Amok

bd_csmc

ahhh Carnuke and I were wondering who the culpret was, we were searching all over the place..:)

If you download this file it should fix your problem, dont ask me why..

It is article.php which is in the root of wfsections

article.zip

Looks like we have an pretty bug free wfsections with the Xfsections fixes also applied--apart from the non-tables thing in the wysiwyg. I am using catswolfs spaw module though which works fine

since you guys were saying you're using my version 1.01a, you might want to incorporate my other fixes from 1.01b into your own copies (if you haven't already)

don't remember now, it's been too long, lol, but either way i recommend doing a manual compare using Visual Comparer
http://www.compare-file.com/

that way you can see changes

if i were in the proper coding mood, i would have commented any changes that i made, but i can't guarantee that... lol

...all of this goes back to my first post.... Hey Katz, when is the next official version of WF-Section coming out? I hate to follow an un-official fixed/hacked source branch and go with the 'real thing'!

Sorry, but your first post was forgotten a long time ago, the thread changed, perhaps someone should have moved this.

If that was directed the Wfsections I have--this one is the "real" wfsections with bug fixes applied from the efforts of other developers/coders in the community.

Is that not what open-source is about? Developers from all over the world freely making existing code better?

JackJ,

Agreed, and I think we're seeing this process right here in this thread. It does seem that we have a pretty robust version between all these fixes. Also bd_csmc thanks for your fixes Im going to incorporate those also. And that compare file tool is pretty cool!

I've heard that there were some security issues with wfsection, but I don't know what they are. Anybody know what these security holes are (other than the anonymous users being able to submit I suppose) and whether they've been addressed.

Security is my #1 concern as it is for most ppl I guess.

Thanks,

Amok

Does the current/new version allow article submitters to attach images specific to the article?
