Guys, I taking the day off, if you would like to try the next fix, go ahead and download it here:

http://www.wtmmail.com/XoopsShortUrls/xoops_shorturls.txt4

I've fixed a few module specific errors, most of them, image related.

I can't repeat enough: this is a test version and it is not supposed to be used in a live unmonitored site. If you have errors, revert to the previous stable version.

a few more bug (if someone not reported them yet):

1/ just after i have installed this hack i can't get to admin menu at /admin.php - just empty page containing this html code "" :((((((

anyone got the same error?

2/ link to /archive.php?year=2004&month=2 redirects to 404

3/ request to /index.php redirects (302) to /modules/news/ (if you have NEWS module set as start one)

btw http://validator.w3.org/checklink is the cool place to check links on your site

Alexon:

Thank you for reporting.
Yes, those bugs have been fixed.
Use the last *test* version at:
http://www.wtmmail.com/XoopsShortUrls/xoops_shorturls.txt4

Just download that text file, rename it to xoops_shorturls.php and overwrite the distribution version with it.

By the way, thanks for the checklink page, I'm using it right now

Terrific!
It seems to work like a charm on my local test site both under root path and under subdir.
Just some more tests and I'll put it onto my live site.
Thanks for the work.

Hi,

I'm using xoops_shorturls.txt4 and there is still a little and strange bug with FAQ.

How to reproducte it :

Go there : http://test.koreus.com/xoopsfaq-index-cat_id-2.html#q5

And goes to the 2nd line of the page, you should see this :
»» Le Site
Intead of this :
Principale »» Le Site

Now look at the link, weird isn't it ?
http://test.koreus.com/modules/xoopsfaq/index.php%3EPrincipale%3C/a%3E%A0%3Cspan%20style=

Instead of :
http://test.koreus.com/modules/xoopsfaq/index.php

The source :
Principale

If you want to compare without the ShortUrl hack
Go there :
http://www.koreus.com/modules/xoopsfaq/index.php?cat_id=2#q5

FYI :
http://test.koreus.com --> Hack activated
http://www.koreus.com --> No Hack

Hope it helps.

Despice this bug, everything is ok, but I need more deep testing

Thanks

It appears to be the same thing than the FAQ module with others modules: xp-weather and xcgal.

When I go to this URL (Admin -> preferences) :
http://test.koreus.com/system-admin-fct-preferences.html

And I want to edit one of the preferences, for example the general parameters :
http://test.koreus.com/system-admin-fct-preferences-op-show-confcat_id-1.html

The page is opened correctly, but if I want to save change (submit) I have a blank page :/

Simple (?) solution is perhaps to desactivate the shorturl hack for admin module ?

If I acces the page with normal URL :
http://test.koreus.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=preferences&op=show&confcat_id=1

I can save the preference normally, even if the hack is activated.

I don't have the blank page problem. But the modules/system/style.css file is not being properly parsed, so I have those huge font under the admin.

Yes, option to exclude certain modules would be very nice.

this substitution can be made via script?? (as a temporary palliative solution)
