a few more bug (if someone not reported them yet):

1/ just after i have installed this hack i can't get to admin menu at /admin.php - just empty page containing this html code "<html><body></body></html>" :((((((

anyone got the same error?

2/ link to /archive.php?year=2004&month=2 redirects to 404

3/ request to /index.php redirects (302) to /modules/news/ (if you have NEWS module set as start one)

btwhttp://validator.w3.org/checklink is the cool place to check links on your site

Probably "just" URL masking - the links are normal, but when you click on them, the address URL doesn't change.

his server returns 200 code for the request to the root of his domain, but my server returns 302 with redirection to /modules/news/ for the root request

thanks for you answer, but it is not what i want, you don't understand me...
that method that you offer just tells browser to redirect to /modules/news/ folder, but i want them to be on the root of the domain not in the subfolders of it.

check this site in your sig, you see it has full visible news right in the root
